Marketing and Communications Officer

It’s an exciting time to join the Grand Opera House, fresh from a re-launch in Autumn 2022, the theatre has been going from strength to strength with an eclectic programme from major west-end musicals to well-known comedians. Shows coming up include Shrek the Musical, 2:22 A Ghost Story and the incredible Pretty Woman.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the venue's Marketing and Communications Team as our Marketing and Communications Officer, reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager. 

The role in summary

  • Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns that drive ticket sales and revenue and nurtures the audience base.  
  • Support the media profile of the venue and its shows by creating campaign ideas, partnerships, content, stunts or other events that get widely noticed and talked about, and drive ticket sales.  
  • Assist in nurturing and managing a strong network of relationships with the media, local organisations and influencers in order to create earned reach. 
  • Key focus of the role will also be to support the growth of reach and engagement of the venue’s social and editorial channels.
