Customer Experience Supervisor
It’s an exciting time to join the Edinburgh Playhouse. After a 12-week closure period, which is helping future-proof our venue for decades to come, we are excited to welcome back our audiences to the UK’s largest seated theatre. We open in August to a packed festival programme including internationally acclaimed names such as Dame Judi Dench and Greta Thunberg, alongside a music program that includes Jake Bugg and Alison Goldfrapp. The autumn and winter seasons find us being the opening venue for both Disney’s Aladdin and Wicked UK tours. The 2024 programme is also jam packed with new shows and timeless classics, consistently bringing the magic of theatre and live performance to our audiences.
We are very excited to be recruiting a Customer Experience Supervisor to join our friendly team and offer some great team member benefits which include:
- myStrength Mental Wellbeing App
- WeCare Support Services
- Theatre Tickets (Subject to Availability)
- ATG Theatre Card
- Staff Discounts
- Pension
Within this role, you’ll report to the Customer Experience Manager and their Deputies, Assistants or the Duty Manager on shift. You’ll work as part of a team of Customer Experience Supervisors, who work closely together leading our team of Customer Experience Team Members. You will actively be involved in ensuring that we are offering the highest levels of service to our customers and be instrumental in empowering and engaging the front of house team to help ensure income on a per show basis is reached and support them in achieving their maximum potential in the venue. You will also work closely with our external security team, Security Scotland. Evening and weekend working is essential to this role, and we expect the team to be available during these peak times.
- Shift lengths are on average 4.5 hours long. If a performance begins at 7.30pm then the shift times are on average 6.00pm-10.30pm but you may be required to stay later.
