Bar Supervisor
We are seeking a casual Bar Supervisor to join our wonderful team here at The Alexandra in Birmingham’s city centre. The Alexandra is a busy receiving theatre in the heart of the UK’s second city. With record breaking shows and award winning accomplishments we are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and committed individuals to join our busy Front of House team.
The Bar Supervisor will ensure that the bar is opened and closed within the venue’s requirements. Working with our Customer Experience team members, they will deliver a customer experience that is unrivalled. Preparing drinks and serving them is an integral part of the role, as is cleaning and prepping the bars prior to opening to the public.
As a Front of House Bar Supervisor, you will help build and lead a motivated Front of House team that delivers through great salesmanship, higher spend per head targets, and will assist the Duty Manager on shift with dealing with patrons and any other duties as directed by the Duty Manager.

A great candidate for this job will need:
- Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively
- Excellent organisation skills
- Experience in problem solving
- Have a great work ethic, be initiative and have the ability to adapt
- Good numeracy skills
- Sales Awareness
- Strong understanding of our Front of House operations
- Willingness to be proficient in complaint handling and conflict resolution
- Be proactive, decisive and have attention to detail
- Good Availability

Please note that due to our business hours, shifts available are mostly evenings and you will be expected to work weekends. You must be aged 18+ as the role includes the sale and service of alcohol.
