Stage Manager - CABARET
An opportunity to be part of the stage management team on the seven Olivier award winning production of the musical CABARET in London’s West End, directed by Rebecca Frecknall and designed by Tom Scutt.
We are looking for someone with at least seven years’ experience within a professional stage management team and experience of working on musicals.
Job Description:
- During the show, watching all numbers from the auditorium - specifically watching automation moves.
- Liaising with the resident team and dance captains ahead of cut shows, raising any potential issues and running scenes/numbers after warm-up if required.
- Managing and running show stops when required.
- Creating and distributing the weekly rota for the Stage Management team.
- Organising and scheduling Stage Management deps.
- Organising the get-in of props and costumes into and out of the rehearsal studios.
- Attending rehearsals (Please note these are three times a year; in January, May and August-September).
- Organising prop maintenance/replacement with the Props Supervisor and purchasing running props.
- Running onstage rehearsals.
- Organising and running automation inductions with each new cast.
- Running all technical rehearsals.
- Co-ordinating with creative and resident teams during cast change/tech.
- Monitoring the health & safety of cast onstage and raising any concerns.
- Liaising with all technical departments (in-house and show staff).
- Overseeing all SM team hours.
- Reconciling petty cash.
- Communicating issues to in-house management.
- Liaising with the designer and resident team during EPK filming and communicating changes and updates to all other show departments.
- Covering the Company Manager once a week and when on holiday.
