Senior Technician

New Theatre, Oxford is currently seeking a full time, permanent Senior Technician to join the team in our 1800-capacity theatre. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and skilled technician to work on a diverse and exciting programme, featuring the best names in music, comedy and large scale musicals. Our upcoming programme ranges from Alfie Boe and Robert Plant, to Welsh National Opera, as well as major musicals like The Bodyguard and Pretty Woman. If you enjoy a varied workload, this role is for you. 

To succeed in this role you'll need to be a clear communicator. You'll ensure we offer the highest standards of technical support to hundreds of performances and events each year. Establishing great relationships with the touring companies visiting us is a key part of the role. You'll also be responsible for  helping to maintain the building to a high standard and establishing a positive safety culture throughout the venue team. You will be responsible with the rest of the technical team to maintain the Risk Management System and to communicate and liaise with external contractors.  This is a varied role including a good mixture of both planning, office work, and practical technical work, in a dynamic and fast moving venue, right in the heart of the beautiful city of Oxford.
