Chief Electrician

We are excited to be recruiting a Chief Electrican to join our team in Woking! The complex Comprises of three exciting and thoroughly individual venues, The 1321-seat New Victoria Theatre, the 228-seat Rhoda McGaw Theatre and the 7-screen Nova Cinema. The New Victoria Theatre opened in 1992 and established itself as one of the foremost theatres in the South East. Boasting state of the art facilities, excellent acoustics and clear sight lines it has hosted first class theatre from the likes of the National Theatre, Mathew Bourne and Northern Ballet.

This role is based at The Ambassadors complex in Woking and you’ll report to the Head of Technical and Building Services and be responsible for Senior Technicians. You’ll also work closely with the Deputy Technical Manager, Technicians and Casual Technicians. 

Within this role you'll ensure the smooth running of LX and Sound fit ups, get outs and shows, in line with health and safety legislation and the requirements of the visiting company alongside the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all electrical equipment located within the stage houses.  You'll also be responsible for ensuring the venue electrical systems are maintained and safe to use with any faults being dealt with promptly. 

You'll need knowledge/experience in large scale production lighting and sound and experience of operating ETC Lighting Desks and Yamaha Sound Desks. Experience of leading technical teams within theatre/live performance is a must an understanding of understanding of BS7909.
