Venue Administrator - Fixed Term Contract
The Ambassador Theatre Group is an extraordinary success story in the live entertainment industry. Founded in 1992 in the UK, we’ve grown into the world’s number one live-theatre company today. We cover every discipline in the theatre industry, from operating venues to producing shows and ticketing, through our industry-leading sites ATGtickets.com, LOVEtheatre and Group Line. We are passionate about great shows and our ambition is to help them find the largest possible audiences.
This is the perfect time to join The Grand Opera House. Following a major re-launch in 2022 the Theatre is on track to have one of its best years and we’re looking for the perfect person to join us at this pivotal time as we continue to explore new ways of bringing fantastic experiences to our local community. The role is based at the Grand Opera House in the centre of the historic city of York. Situated just up from the beautiful riverside, there are many bars, restaurants and leisure activities within stone’s throw of the Theatre providing plenty to see and do all year round.
Owing to internal growth, we are excited to be recruiting a Venue Administrator on a fixed term contract.
Within this role, you’ll report to the Theatre Manager and work closely with every department in the venue and stakeholders at all levels both in the venue and within wider ATG. The role of Venue Administrator provides support to the theatre management team in the day-to-day operations, whilst proactively seeking ways to improve our commercial appeal. You'll also play an important role in promoting all of our spaces alongside identifying paid hires that we can house on our stage. In return we will offer you the opportunity to gain practical knowledge and to develop your career in the theatre industry.
Ideally you will have the ability to be adaptive, to prioritise, and have focused time management, be organised with the ability to use initiative and fill the day productively and have passion for live entertainment!
