Wardrobe Assistant

Current and upcoming productions include the seven-time Olivier Award-winning Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club in London and on Broadway, Sunset Boulevard starring Nicole Scherzinger, Plaza Suite starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, Player Kings starring Ian McKellen, and Pretty Woman The Musical and I Should Be So Lucky on tour.
We have an opportunity to be part of the Wardrobe department on PLAYER KINGS, adapted and directed by Rob Icke from Henry IV, Parts 1 and 2 and starring Ian McKellen as Falstaff.
Dates:
Overall dates – Thursday 15 February until Saturday 27 July 2024
w/c 19 February for 3 weeks – Wimbledon tech and previews
w/c 11 March for 2 weeks – Manchester previews
w/c 25 March – Noel Coward Theatre, London for 13 weeks
w/c 24 June – Holiday week
w/c 1 July for 4 weeks – 4 post-London regional dates TBC
Role: Wardrobe Assistant x 2
Contract Type: BECTU/SOLT Agreement
Weekly Fee: £746.59 per week, based on the new BECTU minimum for Grade 5 plus an average of 6 hours of overtime per week.
Touring allowance of £330 per week for any dates outside the M25.
Job Description:
We are looking for a Wardrobe Assistant to be part of a team of four. They will report to the Head of Wardrobe and will be expected to carry out dressing responsibilities, laundry calls and interact with the cast in a supportive and professional capacity. Ideal candidates will be proficient on a sewing machine as well as having other necessary skills to keep the costumes to the highest possible standard and must have experience of dressing on a theatre production.
Candidates MUST have at least three years’ experience in a similar role in a Wardrobe department in professional theatre.
