Deputy Chief Electrician
The Palace Theatre & Opera House are stunning, large-scale historic theatres located at the heart of Manchester city centre. We host work from leading UK and international producers enabling the most spectacular West End and Broadway shows to visit the North West alongside drama, classical and contemporary dance, live music, comedy and one-night specials. The theatres host around 650 performances each year, with longer runs of major musicals mixed with week-long tours and one-night shows. We work increasingly in partnership with producers to open new shows or launch national tours.
We are recruiting for the position of Deputy Chief LX for the Palace Theatre, with some work at its sister venue the Opera House. You will be part of the senior technical team liaising with visiting productions regarding their electrical and sound requirements during their stay. Under the Technical Manager you will lead on the maintenance of the venue’s electrical systems and equipment, you will assist the full time team in managing a pool of casual technicians and support the Technical Manager in maintaining a positive safety culture. As well as technical ability you'll need great people skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Please take a look at our job description download for further details. The position is offered on an annualised hours basis with a number of premium hours included in the annual salary.
