Customer Experience Manager

Sitting in the heart of the Copr Bay development, Swansea Arena is a landmark 3,500 capacity multi-purpose indoor arena which opened its doors in March 2022. Hosting some of the most recognised names in live music, comedy and theatre, the fully-modular arena also hosts e-sports, conferences and events.

Working with the wider venue team, you will support the operational delivery of events in the venue, including theatre performances, music gigs, and comedy shows – ensuring our customers have the best possible experience in our Front of House spaces. As well as this, you will work closely with the Conference and Events team in the delivery of other venue hires such as conferences, banquets and exhibitions.

We’re looking for a dynamic, innovative, and inspirational team leader, who has experience of working in a commercial environment and a desire to exceed targets while providing exemplary customer service to all our visitors. This is a revenue and customer experience focused hospitality role which requires the positive motivational approach of a retail and hospitality professional. A key operational player in the development of our growth plan as we expand the activities and initiatives we deliver for our audiences. 

Leading the Customer Experience team, you will maximise revenue, use data to inform and deliver future retail focused plans, whilst always motivating team members to meet and exceed sales targets. The role is responsible for not just the welcome of our audiences, but also ensuring that we care for the casts and visiting companies that are arriving backstage. Our creative visitors are looking for a home from home and we want to ensure they get this whilst with us. 

You’ll report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for the success of the Deputy Customer Experience Manager and the Food & Beverage team. The key focus of this role is to ensure the high-quality delivery of all events within the venue on an operational basis – from recruiting, training and rostering an engaged and informed team through to Duty Managing the event itself.
