Assistant Stage Manager (Book Cover)

ATG Entertainment is proud to stand at the forefront of the live entertainment industry.

Our expertise and capabilities enable producers and other creatives to bring their visions to life and create unforgettable performances for audiences, presented in our landmark venues and delivered with exceptional hospitality. It is the passion of our teams, that cover every discipline across the live entertainment industry, that underpins our continuing strategic growth and success.

We own, operate or programme some of the world’s most iconic venues; ATG Entertainment manages 64 venues across Britain, the US and Germany.

ATG Productions is an international theatrical production company – dedicated to producing critically acclaimed, commercially successful and creatively ambitious work for the West End, Broadway and beyond. We are the in-house producers for ATG Entertainment – and place partnerships and creative excellence at our core.

CURRENT & UPCOMING PRODUCTIONS: the Tony Award winning and seven-time Olivier Award-winning Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club (Playhouse Theatre/ August Wilson Theatre, Broadway); The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (Ambassadors Theatre); Player Kings starring Ian McKellen (Noël Coward Theatre/UK Tour); Sunset Boulevard starring Nicole Scherzinger (St. James Theatre, Broadway) via The Jamie Lloyd Company; Dear Evan Hansen (UK Tour); Pretty Woman The Musical (UK Tour)

The Assistant Stage Manager reports to the Company Manager & Stage Manager. The stage management team oversee all aspects of the physical production of CABARET both in performance, rehearsal and ongoing maintenance and repair. The team looks after the overall movement of props, furniture and actors on and off the stage to ensure a smooth running of performances. The ability to work as part of a team is vital in this role, as well as the ability to communicate well and bring a positive attitude into our workplace. As this position is a book cover, show calling experience is essential.

Due to the nature of this production, the ASM will also be asked to work on the prologue performance that takes place ahead of the scripted performance. The prologue performance takes place as the audience are entering the venue, with a separate cast to the scripted cast. You will be required to ensure the smooth running of this performance, some audience management alongside the FOH team, and the movement of props and cast welfare alongside the Company and Stage Manager.

The stage management team liaise directly with all departments on stage (cast, lighting, sound, automation, wardrobe & WHAM) as well as supporting the creative team to realise the artistic vision of the production.
