Deputy Head of Electrics

ATG Entertainment is proud to stand at the forefront of the live entertainment industry.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and self-motivated individual to join the highly collaborative and friendly venue team as Deputy Head of Electrics at the Playhouse Theatre, home to the current Olivier Award winning production of Cabaret. This is an opportunity to take the lead on electrical requirements for the theatre, supporting a diverse array of fantastic live theatre over the coming year.

As Deputy Head of Electrics you'll support the Head of Electrics and the Technical and Building Manager with the day to day running of the theatre from a technical perspective. You will assist with the get ins, fit ups and get outs of new productions and visiting events, as well as assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of the theatre, ensuring we provide the highest standard of service for the visiting company.

To succeed in this role you'll need to be a clear communicator, able to closely work with the Head of Electrics and Technical & Building Manager to develop an effective working relationship with Cabaret’s show team, visiting companies, our other venue teams, colleagues in London theatres and ATG's central services as well as contractors and suppliers; great people skills are as important as technical ability for this position. There's a good balance in the role between practical technical work for the venue, and management of the department; please note regular evening and weekend work will be required.
