To Kill A Mockingbird is seeking a Deputy Head of Sound on the West End production of To Kill A Mockingbird.

We particularly welcome and encourage applications from those currently underrepresented in our workforce.

Experience on a large scale production is essential. Any candidate must be highly organised and have good communication skills. Skills required include excellent: preparation, rigging, maintenance and operation of the sound design and sound equipment on the production.

Responsibilities include the preparation, operation and maintenance of equipment to implement the sound design for the production. Equipment will include but not be limited to radio transmitters and their associated microphones, communications equipment, mixing consoles, playback equipment and speaker systems. 

Candidates will require relevant hands-on professional experience in sound, the ability to work under pressure and effectively within a team, good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as strong organisational and time management qualities to ensure that the production runs efficiently and smoothly. This may also include attending rehearsals, working on the get-in with crew, liaising with the performing company and other departments to create an efficient and successful department.

 All applicants must be able to commit to the full contract: starting on 21 February 2022 until 18 February 2023. Salary is above SOLT/BECTU.
