Q. We regularly host university placements in both our venues and offices, across a wide range of departments. Yes, we host theatre students, but there’s also plenty of opportunities in our other teams ranging from finance to Food & Beverage. You’re able t

Sometimes this is possible, but unfortunately we’re not able to offer very many opportunities like this as ATG Productions is a relatively small team. We’re not able to offer placements in acting, costume, make-up, props, writing, or design.

Q. Do you host Erasmus placements?

We are able to host Erasmus placements. However you must be available for an interview in the UK and will be considered alongside other UK applicants, so we recommend you apply as early as possible so you have as much notice as possible if we are able to offer you a placement.

Q. Do you offer paid placements for sandwich courses?

This kind of placement will be planned and budgeted for in our annual plans, and will be advertised on this site like any other job vacancy. Most often these placements are available in areas such as hospitality management. We are rarely able to offer this kind of placement on an ad-hoc basis but it is worth contacting us to enquire.

Q. Do you have any volunteering opportunities?

As we are a commercial organization we don’t offer volunteering opportunities. We hope you’d be interested in some of our work opportunities which you can find by using our Job Search, such as our Front of House or Technical Casual roles. Alternatively we can recommend Do It or Reach to find volunteering opportunities in your area.

Q. Can I apply on behalf of a student, or arrange a placement for an unnamed student?

Usually no, we’d ask the student to apply directly themselves unless there is a reason they are unable to do so. We also don’t usually reserve particular placements for a university, although we do have some partnerships in place with universities we work closely with or that are close to our venues.

Q. What documents will you require from my university?

We’ll need to see your course guidance that explains the aims of your course and current unit, including your objectives for the placement so we can ensure we can support you. If you have particular availability, for example studying part time alongside the placement, your timetable is useful. We are required to conduct checks on your right to work in the UK for your placement, even if it is unpaid, and if you are studying in the UK on a student visa we will require additional information about your university term dates and study time.
